Unit 1 : Energy Storage Elements - Capacitor

In this presentation, we explore the capacitor, the first of the two passive elements in electrical circuits that can store energy. Capacitors are not only fundamental components in theory, but also widely used in practical applications ranging from signal processing to power systems. The treatment here is calculus-based, but the mathematics is kept at a level appropriate for students beginning a degree program in electrical engineering. The goal is to build both an intuitive understanding of how capacitors behave and a solid mathematical foundation for analyzing their role in circuits.
