Use GitHub Directly in Claude Code (No More Copy-Paste)

In this video you connect GitHub directly to Claude Code through an MCP server, so the assistant can inspect issues, plan changes against your local repo, and open pull requests without copy-pasting context back and forth. You will set up the official GitHub MCP server with a fine-grained personal access token, then walk through a real workflow: read an open issue, identify the files that need to change, create a feature branch, implement the fix, review the diff with plain Git commands, and have Claude Code draft and open the pull request through the same MCP tools. To keep the agent focused and predictable on bigger projects, the final part introduces AGENTS.md — a small guidance file that gives coding agents a scoped, repository-specific working style. With it in place, Claude Code plans before editing, follows your branch-naming convention, drafts pull request text for review, and avoids unrelated refactors. By the end you have a clean, agent-driven loop from issue to PR that stays inside your editor, with a human review point at every external action.
