Vacation Gift v0.04 - Port Implementation. Cable Car Update. Health Bar Prototype. Level Design Update. Guardian Angel. Synopsis: Vacation Gift is a 3D platformer game where you play as the average Joe in delivering packages so that he may go on a vacation. Note: Gameplay The gameplay loop will be split into phases: Phase 1 - The player would go and deliver packages to the ports peppered about the level, with each port giving a set amount of points upon delivery. Once all of the ports that are open are delivered, phase 2 will commence. Phase 2 - There will be a timer (not implemented yet), and the player must go back to the cable car before that timer hits. Additionally, special ports would open up which give more points upon delivery. There are two more phases, Phase 3, and Phase 4, which are already implemented port-wise. But I won't go into further details until I add the stuff that makes Phases 3 and 4 special. But just to clarify, if the timer in Phase 2 hits 0, Phase 3 commences. This isn't the complete gameplay loop that I've had in mind Obviously I'm taking inspiration from Pizza Tower and Baldi's Basics Plus with this gameplay loop and I wish to give thanks and credit. Unfinished The health bar is a prototype and I have yet to implement the health system, though it does give a hint of what Joe looks like. The floating capsule that follows Joe (the one I'm controlling) is his guardian angel, Seph. More will be elaborated regarding the two, but for now all that's important is that Seph will aid the player in guiding them to ports among other stuff. Standard This is the fourth version of a project that I'm working on. This is the version I was on before I decided to record recreations of the previous three. I hope you enjoy.
