Watson is tired of being in the shadow of Holmes- he risked his life for him plenty of times, and actually, beacause of him the detective is famous. He gets almost nothing in change, just 'cut that poetry Watson!'. Doctor recalls the characteristic of Holmes he made few years before, and realise that he didn't change at all. So maybe Watson decide to find his own way of life?
