Biscuits' tutorial covers the settings for base VWD thoroughly, and although it is for Poser it is also worth a watch: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/?uid=572568 This tutorial discusses how to sim clothing and hair with VWD in Daz Studio! It covers installation, static cloth and hair sim, and dynamic (multi-frame) cloth sim. This took a long time to finish because VWD sometimes fights other programs for RAM, loses, then refuses to sim, requiring VWD, Daz Studio, and sometimes my video recording and editing programs to be restarted. Suffice it to say that while the program is very powerful, getting results out of it can take some time and practice. EDIT: ALSO USE DECIMATOR. It makes it possible to sim some of those that otherwise are not, and it's very easy to use! It's a separate .exe you need to download from your Product Library, so it won't be installed by DIM. Then you create a tab using Windows-Panes/Tabs and choosing Decimator. You can dial down the level of decimation from there.
