VisionLidar - Tutorial - Selection & segmentation

This video explains how to use VisionLidar to select points to classify, extract, modelize or delete points. Selection tools Select all - selects all visible points on screen Select Select tool: Pick a selection area with left mouse-button click and close polygon with righ mouse-button click. Delete: Deletes points in the selection area Undelete: Restores points in the selection area Classify: Selected points are classified to desired class Extraction: Will create an extracted view of selected points Create surface: Creates a surface in VisionCivil module, explained later Name: Simplify: Uses a grid to simplify the amount of points in the surface - 1 point is kept per cell Use lowest points: Retains only lowest points for surface Use highest points: Retains only highest points for surface Fence tool Pick: Pick a selection area with left mouse-button click and close polygon with righ mouse-button click. Apply: Apply an existing fence Draw: draws the existing fence Erase: erases the visible fence from the screen Hide out: hides all the points outside of the fence Hide in: hides all the points inside the fence Simplify tool: simplifies the point cloud by using a grid simplification Give a name to the extraction Size of the grid determines the amount of points to conserve Result is sent to an extracted view
