How to use Fonts in Vizrt 4. Get an in-depth overview of the Basic tab of the font editor. This Vizrt Artist 4 Fonts Introduction relates to the Basic tab found within the settings. To work with a font you'll need to drag a font into the scene tree or scene editor window. A font must first be imported into Vizrt and you can learn how to do that by watching the importing fonts video. Once you do have a font imported and active in the scene tree. You can click on the font icon on the container and it will take you into the font editor. Once in the font editor you have access to all the tools and tabs within the font. You’ll notice several tabs within the font editor labeled: Characters, Basic, Shadow, Clock and Special. You’ll also notice a text editing window at the top. It is here that you can edit the text. You can simply highlight your cursor in that box and start typing the text. You can also double click on the text within the scene editor window to edit as well. In this video we focus on the Basic tab within the font editor. Once in the Basic tab you are presented with a few options. These include orientation settings, word spacing, leading and tracking and some more options. There is also an icon of the font in the tab. It is here you can drag another font on top if you want to replace the entire font. You also have options to bold, italicize, subscript, superscript and underline the font here too. The word spacing works only when you have multiple words in the text. The video will demonstrate how this setting works. This video will also give a look into the configuration settings for fonts found in the Configuration window. Here there are several settings that you can adjust for the default settings of your fonts. This includes the orientation settings.
