How to use the Vizrt 4 Magnet plugin. The Vizrt 4 Magnet Plugin will allow you to control the particle generator in Vizrt Artist 4 by adjusting the directional flow of the particles. So, in order to use the Magnet plugin you’ll need to have an RFX Smoke plugin in the scene tree. The video shows you how to set up the RFX Smoke to create a realistic particle system. If you need to review the video, you can watch it by clicking here. Once you have the RFX Smoke plugin in your scene you can drag the Magnet plugin onto the container. The Vizrt 4 Magnet plugin is found in the Built-Ins window, the Container Plugins tab under the Real FX folder. As soon as you drag the Magnet plugin onto the container, you should notice the change in the particle. By clicking on the Magnet icon on the container you can enter the Magnet properties editor. Some of the settings found within the Magnet editor include: The Amount will allow you to adjust the amount the magnet affects the particle system. If you decrease this amount it will affect the gravity of the particle. Center X will allow you to shift the x position of the magnetism. As you adjust this axis to the left side, the particle system should follow and now flow to the left side. Center Y will allow you to shift the center point on the Y position. As you increase the Y position it will make the particle system taller or higher on the Y position. Center Z will allow you to adjust the center point of the Z point of the particle system. Power Law will spread the ends of the particle system out making it more chaotic in its flow.
