The Vizrt 4 Torus is a three dimensional geometry that allows you to create a rounded tube or torus. In most simplistic terms you can think of this shape as a donut or tire. The Vizrt 4 Torus is found in the Built-Ins window, the Geometry Plugins tab and the default folder. When you drag the Torus into the scene tree it will look like a white ring. Because it is a three dimensional object it will be best to drag a material upon the container to see the shading. If you do have a material that carries shading then you will see how this geometry plugin differs from the Ring, Cylinder and Cylinder 3 Geometry plugin. Once you click on the torus icon on the container, it will take you into the Torus properties editor window. Some of the settings included in this geometry plugin include: Use LOD, this button will enable or disable the automatic level of detail. Tesselatoin will allow you to set the detail degree of the Torus. The default setting is twenty. The higher the number in this setting the smoother the Torus will look. The higher the number in this setting the more power it will take to render. Corners will set the number of corners of the torus. The default setting is set to eighty. The minimum number can be set to 3 which will form a triangular shape. Radius, this setting will set the radius of the torus from its center from the middle of the hole. This will increase the overall size of the torus. Radius cross section will allow you to set the cross section of the radius. You can think of this setting as the thickness of the donut or tire. The video will show all the property settings and how they affect the Torus geometry plugin.
