Vizrt Pie Chart with Microsoft Excel Data - Vizrt Visual Data Tools
How to populate a pie chart in Vizrt using data from Microsoft Excel. This video uses Microsoft Excel to populate a Pie Chart using the Pie Chart from the Visual Data Tools and the Data Reader plugin from the Data Pool folder. The Visual Data Tools are found in the Built-Ins tab inside the Geometry Plugins. Drag a blank container into our scene tree. Then we can drag a Data Reader plugin onto this container. Click on the Data Reader icon on the container to go into the Data Reader plugin. Within this plugin you’ll need to enter certain variables from your Microsoft Excel sheet. The first variable you’ll need to fill in the name and path of the Excel sheet. The video will demonstrate how to fill in this variable and the others that will help you populate the pie charts. The other plugin you need in the scene is the Pie Chart plugin from the Visual Data Tools folder. There are a few variables that you’ll need to fill in within this plugin and a few will have to match what we put in the Data Reader plugin. Once you have the data populating the pie chart you can use the different settings within the plugin to adjust the design of the Pie Chart. Also, you can use any materials from your database or textures as they work the same as they would on other 3D objects. The pie chart has an offset, so you can offset individual pieces and put space in between them. The video goes into more detail about each individual setting within the Data Reader plugin and the Pie Chart plugin.
