W4S onTerschelling!

The Wind4Shipping (W4S) project visited Terschelling to highlight that our work goes beyond scaling up wind propulsion systems for maritime transport. An equally important part of the project is developing comprehensive training programmes for the people who will work with these innovative technologies in the future. The training activities focus on seafarers, nautical personnel, designers, and naval architects, ensuring that the maritime sector is ready for the transition towards sustainable shipping. To support these goals, project partners gathered at the campus of our partner Maritime Institute Willem Barentsz on Terschelling for a productive working session. During the visit, we also had the opportunity to experience how WASP systems are applied in simulator environments and to explore the latest developments from our partners.
