Wealthy in grace
(Based on an original composition) [Verse 1] He was just a boy with a heart made of gold, Mama taught him right — to live true and bold. Found a wallet full of bills on the cold cement ground, Could’ve kept it, but his conscience turned him ‘round. Next day he remembered that favor unpaid, Took what he owed and gave it away. Though doing right brought his mind its reward, He learned this world don’t always share the same heart, Lord. [Chorus] The tracks left behind were paved with good intentions, Seeds were planted in hearts along the way. They bloomed into beauty that still shines today. The world tried to bend him, but he held his place, He ain’t rich in silver, but he’s wealthy in grace. [Verse 2] The more he matured, the more he felt assured, Learned to navigate out of hellish states. Life taught lessons that gave him a clue, Yet he kept his spirit straight. Folks saw his kindness, thought he was blind, But mercy’s a power they can’t define. Learned to give from a cup runnin’ over, And to earn every blessing he deserved. [Chorus ] The tracks left behind were paved with good intentions, Seeds were planted in hearts along the way. They bloomed into beauty that still shines today. The world tried to bend him, but he held his place, He ain’t rich in silver, but he’s wealthy in grace. Verse 3 (Post‑Chorus Closer): One day he lost what his heart held dear, Thought it was gone, just faded in fear. Prayed for some sign through the ache and the pain, Then mercy came knockin’ like a sweet summer rain. What he gave to the world found its way back anew, A circle of grace for a heart pure and true.
