Week 6 Bikini Prep | Why I’m Pausing Prep

As a coach and pro, there’s often an unspoken pressure to model extremes to maintain credibility. So this week, I had to remind myself: Trust and authority come from education, outcomes, and integrity — not stage leanness. Modeling discernment and self-regulation is more valuable than modeling suffering I asked myself: What behavior do I actually want my audience to copy? After a lot of reflection and prayer, I’ve decided to pause competition prep for this half of the year and focus on maintaining the highest standard of my work. At first, it felt like quitting. I don’t like not finishing what I start. But this isn’t quitting — it’s listening to my body, protecting my mental health, and making a realistic decision based on my current capacity. The goal doesn’t disappear — the way I pursue it changes. I’ll still continue dieting, but at a slower pace. Instead of a show, I’ll be doing a photoshoot — something that supports my goals without the same physical and psychological cost.
