First up is the new .NET SDK for the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol from the Azure AI Foundry team. This SDK simplifies building interoperable AI agents using an evolving industry standard, offering features like agent and capability discovery, real-time streaming support, and multiple communication patterns. It’s a strong step forward for developers working with Semantic Kernel or Azure AI. Then, I looked at a blog post featuring 10 things you might not know Azure Communication Services (ACS) can do. From voice assistants that understand user intent to scheduling via SMS in natural language, there's a lot happening in this space—especially when paired with Azure OpenAI. Finally, I dove into a GitHub blog post about setting up your GitHub Copilot agent for success. It explores moving from conversational use to assigning standalone tasks to the agent via GitHub issues - watching as it creates branches, PRs, and delivers completed work, much like a human engineer would. This feels like the next evolutionary step for Copilot usage. I’ll be taking a short break, but I’ll be back in September: have a great August! 👋 Just starting out, or here for the first time?
