The squat jump with added load — dumbbell at the chest or barbell on the back. Trains explosive lower-body power under load. Bridges the gap between strength training and athletic plyometrics. ▶ HOW TO PERFORM: Hold a dumbbell at the chest (or barbell on the back for advanced lifters — lighter load only). Stand tall, feet shoulder-width. Squat DOWN to a quarter or half depth — load the legs. EXPLODE UP — jump off the ground. Land soft, knees absorb. Immediately drop into the next squat jump. Continuous rhythm. ▶ KEY POINTS: • Land SOFT — knees absorb every jump • Continuous rhythm — minimal ground contact • Load LIGHT — these are explosive, not heavy ▶ COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID: Going too heavy slows the explosion — power is built with lighter loads moved fast. Loud, heavy landings mean poor absorption. This is a silent form demo.
