Weighted Toe Touches
The toe touch ab exercise with a weight held overhead. Lying on your back, legs straight up, crunch the trunk up to TOUCH the toes with the weight. Direct lower-and-upper ab work with the loaded reach. ▶ HOW TO PERFORM: Lie on your back. Lift the legs STRAIGHT UP toward the ceiling — 90 degrees from the floor. Hold a dumbbell or plate with arms extended overhead — straight arms, weight directly behind the head. Crunch the trunk UP — bring the weight up to TOUCH the toes (or as close as flexibility allows). Lower with control. Repeat. ▶ KEY POINTS: • Legs STAY STRAIGHT UP — perpendicular to the floor • Arms STAY STRAIGHT — weight reaches to the toes • Crunch the SHOULDER BLADES off the floor ▶ COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID: Bending the elbows turns this into a different lift. Letting the legs drift forward shortens the lever and the work. This is a silent form demo.
