"The Science of Lean Operations" https://bit.ly/3rXPVHP Building Blocks of OpEx: https://youtu.be/kDZswaiWCes Predictive Simulation - https://youtu.be/ChiezIngLDM ROIC Improvement - https://youtu.be/lDSjAFlNH9A Contact - https://bit.ly/contactmoses Operations consist of not only Make/Serve processes, but also Procurement, Logistics, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable processes, Product Development, Customer Acquisition and other Support processes. Operations can be segmented into their elements/ building blocks: - Process Flows/ Activity Networks - Human Resources - Facilities & Assets (Software and Hardware) - Material & Informational Supplies Operations produce positive outcomes for Customers, Shareholders and Employees, and can result in negative outcomes (which we want to avoid) in the areas of Safety, Compliance and Environment. Further Operations are subject to external variables such as Demand, Regulation, Market Variables and other Risk Factors. Operational Excellence is a set of processes, systems, initiatives, capabilities, tools, mindset and culture, that aims to: 1. Improve positive outcomes (refer the figure above) to the best possible levels 2. Reduce or completely eliminate negative outcomes (eg. in Safety, Compliance, Env) 3. By Flawless Execution of operations configured to a Base Operating Model, designed to deliver the said outcomes, and subjected an environment of external variables (at assumed nominal values); 4. And by deploying Readiness Plans to make necessary changes in view of variations within the External Variables, the Operating Model being sufficiently Agile/ Flexible. #OperationalExcellence #OpExChannel
