Why Overthinking Yourself Makes Things Worse
Overthinking yourself often feels like the responsible thing to do. You reflect on your thoughts, your reactions, your patterns. You try to understand why you feel the way you do. At first, this can seem helpful. You become more aware. You notice things you hadn’t seen before. But over time, something subtle can begin to happen. The more closely you examine yourself, the more there seems to be to examine. Small reactions become more noticeable. Passing thoughts feel more significant. And attention begins to organize itself around finding what still needs to be understood or corrected. In this video, I explore how overthinking yourself can unintentionally intensify the very experience you’re trying to resolve. When attention is directed toward identifying what needs fixing, it tends to keep finding something. Not necessarily because there is an endless list of problems, but because the process itself is oriented toward looking for them. This channel examines the psychological consequences of misinterpreting ordinary unease - and how that misunderstanding can quietly turn life into a project of self-correction. - Freedom Malhotra #Overthinking #Psychology #SelfImprovement #SelfAwareness #PersonalGrowth
