These winged gum nuts are from Eucalyptus alatissima, a rare plant at risk of extinction in its home of South Australia. I have been painting rare and threatened species because 1 in 4 native South Australian plants are at risk of extinction. We need to see them. To see their unique beauty and act to protect our futures.
