Working Fire, Multifamily

Extended cut of a structure fire at two story apartment building on January 28, 2026. Engine 5 made a transitional attack from the ground level as Rescue 5 went to the fire apartment to search after getting reports of a victim inside. Rescue 5 got an all clear as the line advanced to the apartment. On 01/28/2026 at approximately 18:07, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to 1109 Arizona SE apartments for multiple calls of a structure fire. Engine 5 arrived on scene and reported a 2-story multifamily dwelling with a working fire on division 2. Engine 5 stretched a line for fire control and Rescue 5 went in for search. Engine 11 established a water supply. Engine 12 pulled a second line. Damage to the structure was significant. No firefighters or civilians were injured. Multiple animals were rescued including one dog, two cats and two turtles. AFR Fire Investigators responded to determine cause and origin. The cause remains undetermined. #abqfirerescue
