⚠️ Hermes Desktop Trojan Found? GitHub Malware Problem Is Getting Worse

I found a trojan hidden inside the Hermes Desktop repository. The malware was making network requests and appeared to be designed to turn infected machines into part of a larger bot/farm setup. I reported the issue directly in the repository Issues section. The next day, the Issues tab was removed entirely instead of addressing the report publicly. If you are using Hermes Desktop or downloading random GitHub projects in general, scan EVERYTHING before running it. Do not assume a GitHub repository is safe just because it has stars, forks, or trending status. GitHub currently has no proper built-in antivirus protection for repositories, which means malicious files can spread very easily if users are not careful.
