Before it’s to late
“Before it’s to late” The house grows quiet after dark, And grief moves in beside my heart. Every memory cuts so deep, Like broken promises I cannot keep. I smile enough to hide the ache, But inside I’m starting to break. Some nights the silence feels so loud, I disappear inside the crowd. So if you love me, don’t just say it someday, Time slips faster than we think away. Don’t wait until it’s too late to come my way, I might not be here on another day. This grief becomes a storm of pain, Some souls get tired and cannot remain. I just need someone to hold the night, A gentle voice to tell me I’ll be alright. Before the darkness pulls me under again, Please come sit beside me, my friend. The tears fall hardest when no one sees, And every wound I tried to hide Still bleeds beneath my fragile pride. I never wanted sympathy, Just someone here to breathe with me. A hand to steady all the hurt, Before I’m buried by the dirt. Because the loneliest hearts can fade away, Waiting for a love that never came. Don’t wait until it’s too late to come my way, I might not be here on another day. This grief becomes a storm of pain, Some souls get tired and cannot remain. I just need someone to hold the night, A little care when I lose the fight. Before the darkness pulls me under again, Please come sit beside me, my friend. No, you can’t heal every scar I hide, But your presence keeps hope alive. Sometimes saving someone starts With simply listening to their heart. A quiet call, a knock, a prayer, Can remind a soul somebody cares. And even shattered wings can mend When sorrow meets a faithful friend. So don’t wait until it’s too late to come my way, Tomorrow is a promise none of us can safely say. These shadows grow heavier with pain, And some broken hearts don’t stay. But love can be the light we send To pull somebody back again. So if you hear this aching cry tonight, Hold your loved one close and love them while there’s time. sometimes all it takes to save a life Is showing up before it’s too late..
