Coding Conventions and Structure
This is the video for the Computer Code Supplement to SCoRE, a Self-Study Course on Reaction Engineering (https://buffalobadger.github.io/SCoRE/). SCoRE is based on the online book, “Reaction Engineering Basics” (https://buffalobadger.github.io/RE_Basics/). Reaction analyses in SCoRE almost always entail writing computer code. Reaction Engineering Basics describes a task completion workflow that supports writing the computer code efficiently. The coding conventions and code structure used in SCoRE were chosen for specific reasons. Even if you choose to use different workflow and coding options, understanding those used in SCoRE may make it easier to follow the examples presented in SCoRE. 0:00 Intro 0:41 Coding Style 1:36 Use of Global Variables 2:35 Workflow and Code Structure 3:48 The Master File 4:43 Global Constants 5: 34 Parameters 5:48 Global Variables 6:13 Functions Called by Mathematics Software Packages 6:46 Functions that Call Mathematics Software Packages 7:15 The Deliverables Function 7:39 The Execution Command I hope you found this video to be informative.
