Hi there. My name is Morgan Rysdon and I'm an Alexander Technique teacher. This is a self-guided audio for Constructive Rest. Constructive Rest is an integral part of learning the Alexander Technique and is recommended as a daily practice. Its purpose is to quiet down your nervous system, calm your mind, and relax your breathing. Find a quiet space in your home, turn off your devices, and lie down on a yoga mat with a few books underneath your head. Bend your knees and keep your feet flat on the floor. Make sure to remove all distractions for the 10-15 minutes that you will be lying here. Then follow along with this audio guiding your conscious thinking. You will begin to notice muscles relaxing, your breath slowing down, and you will feel more present and calm in your whole body. I hope you find this video helpful and it sparks curiosity in you.
