In this tutorial, I'll break down the mechanics of crow pose (Kakasana) so you can start feeling confident in this fun pose! Crow Pose is a powerful arm balancing pose to strengthen your coordination, balance, arms, and core. This pose can be intimidating to most beginners and often isn’t explored in great depth in a group class. My hope is that this tutorial will unlock the mechanics of the pose for you so that you can experience the exhilarating feeling of lifting off the ground in your crow! I’ll also show you one of my favorite tricks for accessing the pose if you’re brand new to it: giving your crow a “perch.” We will dive right into practicing the pose in this tutorial, so please warm up on your own, specifically in your wrists, shoulders, and hips.
