“ Dream “

“Dream” Last night, I wandered through a silver lined haze, Dreaming of your laughter on those sun drenched days. In the twilight glow, it felt like paradise, but shadows crept then and I paid the price. If I faded into the night, would anyone care to see, a soul wrapped in silence, crying out to be free? Only whispers in the stillness, ticking time away, as I search for you and dreams where we can stay. Staring at the ceiling, thoughts, like fireflies, hoping for a moment when I can close my eyes Running on the  shoreline, hand and hand we’d roam, telling you I love you, finally feeling home. If I faded into the night, would anyone care to see, a heart built on memories, longing, endlessly? Life keeps spinning forward while I’m stuck in yesterday, wishing you could be here once again to light my way. Everywhere I turn, the world calls your name, but the love we shared, oh, it feels like a flame. In this quiet madness, where the silence sings, I hold onto Hope, but my spirits losing wings.  If I faded into the night, would anyone care to see, a flicker of my heart still embracing what could be? Voicing your name softly as I drift, fade away, in dreams, I know I’ll find you come, what may. So I’ll keep on dreaming, where the ocean meets the sky, with you, my forever love, never say goodbye.
