Dub-A-Licious
Precious time spent with my Queen is always time well spent. Just days before this recording, she briefly noticed me finishing up my training session with this raggamuffin style Dub-A-Licious riff, on exactly this very same track (Sunday Paper by Farid). Next thing you know, she wants to dub! So, here we are. Initially a 4-count riff in the learning phase with a flare on the 4th count to accentuate the groove. But soon enough, we progress into a 3-count set, which also deepens that dubby flow. The back wheel pivot on both skates is essentially hipdriven, meaning the focus of the pivot is not on the skates, but is initiated from the hips, which is more knee-friendly. All together, this one's a classic case of `when the move fits the groove`. Of course you can flow this to any type of music, but sticking around 95 BPM truly makes this one dubalicious!
