How to Align Your Laser

This video shows how to align the laser on the ABRA Autoblaster CNC so it is square to the machine frame. Use this if the laser becomes off center or skewed and you are not getting a square reference when setting up a program. Process overview: Turn the laser on using Define Without Leveling. If the laser is not square to the machine, loosen the lock nut underneath the laser so it can rotate. Rotate the laser until it is aligned with the bridge and square to the front of the machine, then snug it. Jog the machine back and forth to confirm the laser stays square across travel. When you’re satisfied, tighten the lock nut to lock the position. Safety: The machine must be powered on for this procedure. Keep hands clear of moving parts and be ready to use Emergency Stop if needed. Tools: None required.
