It’s fun, but it’s warped our perceptions of ourselves and the people we follow. We allow ourselves to perpetually watched and justify this by keeping eyes on everyone else. How sustainable is this performance? This piece tackles the paradox of how stressful it is to curate yourself for an online audience, even though we choose to create accounts and continuously update them: reboot, reinvent, and “meet your brand new image.
