Intake Tower Launch Transport and Positioning

At the end of September we achieved another important milestone in our project. One of the two intake towers was transported from the site where it was manufactured in Mejillones to the adjacent port facility and transferred to sea, where it was suspended underwater from a barge, to then be towed over a distance of more than 120 km to the desalination plant site. After careful positioning using anchors and support vessels, it was then sunk to the bottom of the ocean to a depth of 28 meters.
