Something to watch out for when coaching the press movement is internal rotation at the bottom of the movement. This will occur if the arms are high in the T-position or the client has long forearms as discussed in previous videos. The internal rotation is accentuated if the spine is flat to the bench and not in a small arch. The heavy loaded internal rotation has the potential to cause injury and compensation.
