Cross Country Fellowship Bible Study of the Book of John. This session covered John chapter 11 verses 45 to 57 and John chapter 12 verses 1-11, These passages describe the aftermath of Jesus' raising Lazarus from the dead. Jesus raising Lazarus was the sentinel event that led the Jewish leaders to try to kill Jesus in earnest. Jesus was on His own timeline. He did not allow the Jewish leaders to arrest Him until it was His time. The recognized that raising Lazarus was an amazing thing, but they refused to believe in Him. They even decided that they wanted to kill Lazarus because he was a testimony of Jesus' power. Meanwhile many other people believed in Jesus.
