Pastor Don Dixon First Church Charlotte House to House Bible Study Jude 1:1-16 Make sure that we keep up our guard during the times of apostasy. An apostate is a counterfeit Christian. You can tell an apostate by their words and actions. The devil has two ways of attacking, a perversion of the faith and the persecution of the faithful. An apostate pretends to speak for Jesus but do not acknowledge his divinity. Jesus is not One of many Gods, but is Almighty God who came incarnate. An apostate comes against the authority of the Word of God. Bring your doubt to the Lord and ask Him to let you know where you are at. 1. We are good if we are led by the Spirit of God. a. Salvation begins with the call or summons from God. b. We love God because He first loved us. c. God is the Author and Finisher of our faith. d. There is a difference between being loved by God and being beloved. A spouse beloves the other spouse. e. God's love is immeasurable and immutable. Nothing that we can do will make God love us less. f. God's love is everlasting. The Lord doesn't give us insurance in case we lose it, He gives us assurance that if we lose it and turn back to Him, He will lift us back up.
