Knowing God's Will

HIGHER EVERYDAY SATURDAY MAY 02, 2026 KNOWING GOD'S WILL TEXT: COLOSSIANS 1:9-11 MEMORY VERSE: "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye" (PSALM 32:8). Teenagers are often faced with decisions that can impact their lives significantly. In the midst of uncertainty, it is essential to seek God's will. But how do you know what God wants you to do? Oswald J. Smith says, "Oh, beloved, faint not when doors are shut. For if you are in God's will, He will Himself unlock the bars and let you in, or else He will keep the doors closed and later lead you in another direction. Pray and wait." Beloved, the Bible provides clear guidance on this matter. It begins with genuine salvation experience. In Romans 12:2, we are are encouraged to "be transformed by the renewing of your mind" so that we can discern God's perfect will. This means spending time in prayer, reading God's Word, and seeking wise counsels from godly and trusted adults. You need to ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will as Apostle Paul prayed for the Colossian believers. This is a prayer you can pray daily, asking God to reveal His plans for your life.
