Excited to introduce our next guest onto ASPECT - this time we are graced with the presence of Loaf in our studio, with an hour of deep and soulful cuts to keep you company. Loaf’s admiration for 90s and early 2000s electronic music can be felt through the weaving of genres within her sets. Cascading through dub, house, electro, techno, and always a large slice of trance, you can expect to find yourself suspended in a realm where the classic and the contemporary coalesce. A few words from Loaf about the mix: “I wanted to take the opportunity to play some music that I don't think would normally be expected from me or that I would play at the events I normally am booked for. I wanted to channel a kind of energy that I feel is only felt at a very specific time and in a very specific place. My vision was of a beachside tent at a weekend long DIY doof quite late into the Saturday afternoon. It's that kind of time where you have been chilling all day by the stage after a long night of music the night before, but the energy is just starting to pick back up again. It might be the last set you decide to see before you go back to camp and recharge for the evening. As a DJ, I think this time slot is challenging but also very rewarding in the sense that it's not a peak-time slot, where dancers are already high in energy and expectation levels.
