N'at, for short

"N'at, for Short": "N'at" is a Western Pennsylvania regionalism, an abbreviation for "and that". I like that. I also like imagining it as "Nat", the beginning of "Nature", as if it's a nickname for Nature. I like to go for walks. Once I had an iJones with a camera in it, easy to carry around, I started shooting footage of things that interest me on these walks. The footage accumulated & I gathered it together in an "N'at" folder. I don't know who this movie is for otehr than myself. I like to imagine that there're people out there who'd watch it from beginning to end & really enjoy it. It has none of the popular movie tropes, no-one gets killed (well, there are some dead small animals in it), there's no heist, there's no romance, there're no car chases, there's no emotional manipulation. It does have things happening that gets it outside of standard nature movies. Maybe it's for people who like Frederick Wiseman's "Central Park" (1989) &/or Michael Snow's "La Région Centrale" (1971), 2 favorite movies for me. Maybe it's for people who like to go for walks, maybe it's only for old people. The movie IS divided into quite a few sections so there IS a formal attempt to move things along. Maybe people will remember times when Panther Hollow Lake flooded & when the trails around it got substantially eroded. This is my 234th feature-length movie. For me, it's a bit different from any of my other features; for others, it may just be tedious. Or maybe not, give it a try!
