After a production 8 weeks of run focused training my old body is creaking. My intense interval sessions are difficult to recover from. Are they too intense? Quite possibly. Time for a different approach. I need to shift my mindset in order to survive 2026 and make the start line at the races I have planned. So I am going to try the Norwegian Singles method for my run training. After watching the excellent AyupAndRun YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/@UCaHv1WIlZxHB-taX24TyRFw the evidence seem overwhelmingly definitive - recovery is optimised and fitness build. Or in my case, fitness can be maintained at the very least.
