About 3-6 months after your surgery it's time to start more sports specific movements and strengthening! Here are 3 exercises that you might find us doing here at IMPT with our Post-Op ACL patients. 🩵 Pogo Hops — helps your knee get used to absorbing impact again, which is crucial before we start a return to run program 🩵 Lunges — works on strengthening the big muscles around your knee – the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. In order to return to running we need to be able to step one leg in front of the other with CONTROL 🩵 Reaction with Blaze Pods — helps train your brain-body connection again. This allows you to handle sudden changes in movement, which you'll encounter in real-life activities, especially sports. (Disclaimer: This is not medical advice.
