🐴 PRESENTING UPDATE — 4/18

Folks, we have a MAJOR announcement today. 🚨 Presenting has officially accepted her first cookies. 🍪🎉 Okay we know what you're thinking — Jerome, that's not exactly the Kentucky Derby. But if you've been following along, you KNOW how much this means! This shy, timid little filly from Ocala has been slowly but surely warming up to her new world at Santa Anita, and today she took a giant leap forward. It started with her taking her sweet time recognizing us this morning — but eventually those eyes softened, she came over for a visit, and we made our move. Cookie time. Now, it wasn't exactly love at first bite. There was some persuasion involved. There was some playing around with it in her mouth — rolling it around, not quite sure what to make of this mysterious new thing. And then... the chew. THE CHEW, people! She figured it out and there was no going back. 😂 This is what building a relationship with a young thoroughbred looks like — one small moment of trust at a time. Every single day Presenting is getting a little more comfortable, a little more confident, and a little more herself. Paddy Gallagher and the team continue to give her all the time and space she needs, and it is working beautifully. Today it was cookies. Tomorrow — the main track.
