Psalm 19

Inspired by Psalm 19. Reflective. Here are the lyrics used: The heavens proclaim God’s glory on high, The skies show the work of His hands in the sky. Each day pours forth speech to the next in its turn, Each night shares the knowledge all hearts long to learn. No language, no voice, yet their message is heard, Through all of the earth goes their witness and word. Their sound reaches out to the world’s farthest sun, Where God set its dwelling, its pathway to run. It comes like a bridegroom with joy in his face, Like a strong man who gladly runs into the race. From heaven’s far edge to the end of its sweep, Nothing can hide from its heat or its reach. The law of the LORD is perfect and whole, Restoring and turning the weary soul. The witness of God is steadfast and sure, Making the simple both wiser and pure. The statutes of God are upright and right, They gladden the heart and fill it with light. The commands of the LORD are holy and clear, Giving the eyes understanding and cheer. The fear of the LORD is clean and will stay, Enduring forever, it will not decay. The judgments of God are faithful and true, Altogether righteous in all that they do. More precious than gold, than the finest refined, Sweeter than honey the comb leaves behind. By them is Your servant both warned and made wise; In keeping them faithfully, rich reward lies.
