Quick TRE Practice: Regulate Your Nervous System
Let’s do a quick TRE® practice together. TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) helps activate the body’s natural tremoring mechanism — the same mechanism animals use in the wild to discharge stress and complete the stress response cycle so they don’t remain stuck in fight, flight, or freeze. As humans, we have this same built-in healing mechanism within the body. This practice can support nervous system regulation, stress reduction, emotional well-being, improved sleep, recovery from tension and old injuries, immune system functioning, and a greater sense of grounding, calmness, connection, energy, and pleasure in daily life. As the nervous system becomes more regulated and the body releases patterns of chronic tension and protection, many people notice they have greater access to life force energy, aliveness, joy, creativity, openness, and the capacity to experience pleasure and connection more fully. TRE® can be used as a regular self-care practice to support long-term regulation and resilience, or as needed during periods of stress, overwhelm, or dysregulation. For many people, TRE® becomes a powerful way to reconnect with the wisdom of the body and remember that healing is not something we force — it is something the body already knows how to do. You can learn more about TRE® and nervous system healing on my blog at kyliefeller.com. If you are interested in exploring TRE® more deeply, I offer private sessions, group workshops, and workplace experiences designed to help prevent burnout, build regulation, and support deeper connection within teams and communities. For individuals and communities alike, this is wisdom we share as human beings — an innate capacity for healing already held within the body.
