The plaintiff says she gave the defendant, her landlord, money to move into his apartment and was horrified by the kitchen. She claims it was covered in feces, the stove and cabinets were dirty, and the building super told her she should clean it. She’s suing for a refund. The defendant says the plaintiff moved her furniture into the apartment before paying rent, essentially using the place as free storage. He also claims she broke a one-year lease and didn’t return his keys immediately.
