Second Chances
When Robbie Burrows was diagnosed with terminal cancer he was worried about what would happen to his five cats. Robbie was so concerned about their fate he even considered euthanizing them rather than have them end up in a shelter. But then his daughter, Kathryn, found Golden Oldies Cat Rescue. Golden Oldies brought all five cats into our program -- and four were adopted before Robbie died; the fifth, Huey, had a waiting adopter. Robbie died knowing his beloved companions were safe. Golden Oldies was able to find these five cats their happily-ever-afters because of the fosters, volunteers, adopters and donors who support our work. Our 10-year anniversary is in June. We had an early celebration at our Second Annual Mad Catter Tea Party May 9th at the Elks Lodge in Monterey, where "Second Chances" premiered to a sold-out crowd who came together to support our work. Will you make a donation today so we can continue our life-saving mission of finding safe and loving homes for cats 6 years and older from Monterey County who are at risk in shelters or whose guardians can no longer care for them? www.gocatrescue.org
