TACTICAL ROW

The alternating tactical row blends explosive pulling power with controlled positioning. Each rep starts with a strong, hip-supported row, followed by a controlled eccentric and a hand-to-hand transfer before repeating on the other side. The goal isn’t just to move the kettlebell—it’s to stay organized while doing it. The explosive pull builds power through the upper back, while the controlled lowering phase reinforces tension, positioning, and ownership of the movement. The hand-to-hand transfer adds a coordination demand that forces you to stay precise. If the bell drifts or you lose tension, it shows up immediately. What this builds: Upper back strength (lats, mid-back) Explosive pulling power Control through the eccentric phase Coordination and grip adaptability This works well in complexes, conditioning circuits, or as a way to layer skill and control into your pulling work without defaulting to slow, isolated reps. If your rows turn into momentum or your hinge breaks down under fatigue, slow this down and clean it up. Control first—then speed. #gripstrength #kettlebelltraining #kettlebellexercise #backexercise #kettlebell
