Top Tip Tuesday - Viscous Folding
In this edition of Top Tip Tuesday we explore how to generate a folding viscous ribbon of liquid using nxFluids in the new FLIP mode. Starting with an animated xpEmitter, we then take a closer look at the nxFluids solver settings, adding viscosity with increased subframe steps to achieve realistic, physically rich motion. nxGravity is introduced with data-mapping techniques used to gain precise control over the folding behaviour. To complete the setup, we cache the scene and move into GPU meshing with the nxMesher, demonstrating key settings and features, including the transfer of particle color to deliver a smooth, high-fidelity liquid surface ready for rendering and visual refinement.
