This is a beginner-friendly, trauma-informed yoga class offered at a very slow pace. Different choices are offered and invitational language is used. The participant is invited to choose the variation and pace of the shape and movement that works best for them. There is no right or wrong way to practice. The cues are offered to provide structure, but freedom to explore the shape and/or movement is always welcomed. This is an invitation to explore what it's like to be in the shape, rather than how to get or look in a shape. It invites one to notice the sensations that arise, which invites them to stay anchored into their present-moment experience. It's an invitation to get out of the mind, and into the body.
