In this video we will explore a new method of Getting Data from Objects in our Levels, in this instance using Splines. We will experiment with two of the main Spline uses - Creating Points on the Spline itself, and using the Spline as a boundary Region to Create Points within the Interior.
Creating Points on the Interior, we will demonstrate some of the key parameters to change including how to Set Density based on the Interior shape. This has some limitations and so as an added bonus we will combine two Samplers for Outer Spline and Interior Region, with a Distance node to more accurately create Density Falloff based on Distance from the boundary edge.
In this video I am using the Synty: Biomes Season 2 Packs for my Foliage example assets. Any of the Biomes make for great experimentation packs for creating low poly but visually interesting environments
