This is the third video in the Estimating Parameters Supplement to SCoRE, a Self-Study Course on Reaction Engineering (https://buffalobadger.github.io/SCoRE/). SCoRE is based on the online book, “Reaction Engineering Basics” (https://buffalobadger.github.io/RE_Basics/). In reaction engineering it is sometimes necessary to estimate the values of parameters that appear in rate expressions or reactor models. The first video presents a general description of how to do that numerically when using single response data. This video describes the SCoRE utility function for estimating parameters using Matlab and illustrates its use. 0:00 Intro 0:41 The SCoRE Utility Function, fit_to_SR_data 1:41 Using fit_to_SR_data 3:30 Matlab Predicted Responses Function 4:36 Example Parameter Estimation Master Function 5:27 Reading the Experimental Data from a .csv File 6:55 The Derivatives Function 7:25 The PFR Function 8:02 The Predicted Responses Function 9:22 The Parameter Estimates Function 10:08 The Deliverables Function 10:30 Parity and Residuals Plots 10:57 Performing the Calculations I hope you found this video to be informative.
