Wampum Roads
If you liked my song “My Hometown,” you might like this song I wrote too. I’m really proud to share my new song, “Wampum Roads.” This one is about the people, the work, the dust, the family, and the history of a town that built bridges, homes, and lives out of limestone and grit. Wampum Cement wasn’t just a plant; it was a heartbeat. Founded in 1874 by the Shinn brothers, it helped build America, even supplying cement for the Brooklyn Bridge. Generations worked there, prayed there, and raised families around it. This song is my way of honoring that history, my roots, and everyone who ever called Wampum home. If you’re from Wampum, passed through it, worked at the plant, or just understand what a small town means to your soul, this one’s for you. Give it a listen and let me know what you think. 👍👎
