I appreciate it very much!🙏 Please give it a like if you like it and leave a comment. This song is a new song. I wrote the lyrics last year for a collaboration that didn't work out. I took the lyrics and reworked them and wrote my own music for them earlier this year. Charlie and I are still on hiatus, so I'm singing it, please forgive me for that, I am not a singer! The song has to do with the loss of a beloved spouse after many years together and the grieving process one has to go through in it's wake. It's my way of expressing the stages one goes through like denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. I personnally have not experienced such a loss of a beloved spouse but the composer that I was working closely with had and I tried to express that pain in my lyrics. The project didn't work out because it was written in a key that I just couldn't sing, no matter how hard I tried, so the project was terminated and the music was released as an instrumental piece. Several months later I wrote my own music for my lyrics. I reworked some of the lyrics and made it into an acoustical guitar piece with a more upbeat rhythm and lighter music. So in the end everything turned out fine. I never throw anything away because one can always use the material in another song. It took me several weeks to record the song and I actually bridged 2 different song ideas I had together to form this song. It's another love ballad of mine and in the video I tried to reflect on the memories that make us young again when we think of younger days and better times. I've used this actress before many times in my videos because she just always seems to fit the part. I ended it with a happy thought "I'm a young man in love again whenever I return to you". I hope eveyrone enjoys it and once again please forgive my vocals.
